The Conjuring 2 Trailer

"It said it wants to hurt you." WB has unveiled the first teaser trailer for James Wan's next horror, The Conjuring 2, a sequel to his 2013 hit The Conjuring, which was better than most other horror films that year. Vera Farmiga returns in this as Lorraine Warren, of the "renowned demonologists" Ed and Lorraine Warren. Patrick Wilson plays Ed and also returns. In this new trailer we get to meet a few of the children, who are being raised in a house haunted by creepy, evil spirits. This one is subtitled the "Enfield Poltergeist" and is apparently about a single mother raising four children alone. This looks scary as all hell, I really can't wait to see how much they're pushing the thrills again. That one eerie shadow shot is already haunting me.

Here's the first teaser trailer for James Wan's The Conjuring 2, direct from WB's YouTube:

The Conjuring 2

The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits. The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist is again directed by James Wan, of the first The Conjuring in 2013, as well as Furious 7, Death Sentence, Dead Silence, Saw and both Insidious & Insidious: Chapter 2. New Line / Warner Bros will release The Conjuring 2 in theaters everywhere starting June 10th this summer.

What does 'full teaser trailer' mean? That seems like a triple oxymoron.

Lmao! My mistake, fixed it.

I love James Wans perfect blend of suspense and jump scares

Jon Odishaw on Jan 7, 2016

I love how bold he is with the jump scares too. Those holds though...

DAVIDPD on Jan 7, 2016

Although the first one did not scare me as much as Wan's INSIDIOUS, it was pretty good. I hope this one can tear my heart out and dance on it.

DAVIDPD on Jan 7, 2016

That's the same for me, but I also liked Insidious 2 much more than 1. Same with Sinister 2 (except the ending, Sinister's was way better). Maybe this will be the same and I'll enjoy the sequel more.

Big fan of the first one and this looks just as good.

Looks damn good. Still haven't seen the first one, it somehow got away from me.

Not scared. Really ...

I'll see it. James Wan is one of the few names in horror that seems to give a shit.

Nielsen700 on Jan 10, 2016

Meh. Another movie full of jump scares and a whole lot of BS about "true stories" that are always dreadfully mundane the moment you actually look into them (look up the "true story" behind the conjuring - hilarious in how boring it is). But more to the point, why the f##k are we still all getting so pumped up about stories by the Warrens anyway? They're confirmed frauds lol

Dotpols on Jan 11, 2016

and yet you took the time to come here and post a personal opinion that, other than yourself, nobody cares about.

dan on Jan 13, 2016

Please accept my sincerest apologies Dan, I wasn't aware the comments section has a prohibition on any negative sentiment or facts around these stories. Perhaps we should suggest that Firstshowing place a "gushing praise only" banner at the top to make it clearer :P.

Dotpols on Jan 13, 2016

it isn't prohibited. and although I get your attempt at sarcasm, that's childish to suggest it. it's just I never understood why anyone would take the time to do it? there are movies and genres I don't care much for; but, I have better things to do with my time than posting rants about a film. I guess, if it makes you feel better, continue to do it.

dan on Jan 14, 2016

Your comment is pretty presumptive really. How do you know I don't like the horror genre? I do - and that's why I checked the trailer out. But I'm just over people trying to sell jump scares on some BS notion that it's based on a true story, particularly a story by the famously duplicitous and cynical Warrens. It's just unimaginative and cynical marketing. These comment sections are for people to post there impressions and that was mine. As for having better things to do yourself, well apparently you didn't care about my opinion, but have had plenty of time to engage with me here, so that's a bit of a silly and childish thing to write.

man , you're a fricking nutjob.

dan on Jan 14, 2016

Yep, I'm an "egomaniacal nutjob" because I'm not as impressed as you are by a movie based on the stories of a couple frauds. You're very clever lol
