Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

Joyeux Noel! Gledelig Jul! Fröhliche Weihnachten! Mele Kalikimaka! From all of us at FirstShowing.net, we want to wish every one our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays! Whether you're with your family or with friends or whether it's snowing or sunny, we hope you have a wonderful week. For those that follow the tradition of seeing a movie on Christmas Day, we hope you enjoy your selection this year with a very diverse sets of movies - plenty of comedies, superhero stories, dramas, satires, and a new Transformers (of course). Reviews and trailers always slow down during the holidays, but we'll be back at it again by 2019. We wish everyone a lovely holiday and a nice, quiet break from all the chaos of everyday life.

Some fun holiday-themed tweets from our friends on Twitter to bring you good tidings during the holidays:

Playing in theaters now is a good mix: Sony Animation's incredible Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, plus Disney's Mary Poppins Returns, James Wan's Aquaman, Travis Knight's Bumblebee, Jennifer Lopez in Second Act, Robert Zemeckis' Welcome to Marwen, Etan Cohen's Holmes & Watson, Mimi Leder's On the Basis of Sex with Felicity Jones, and Adam McKay's Vice. Plus a limited release of Pawel Pawlikowski's acclaimed Polish romance Cold War. Next year's Christmas line-up looks awesome already. In theaters on Christmas Day in 2019: Sam Mendes' WWI film 1917, Chris Sanders' remake of Call of the Wild, Greta Gerwig's fresh remake of Little Women, and Ben Falcone & Melissa McCarthy's next film Superintelligence. But of course the big one opening on December 20th, 2019 is J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode IX, which we still don't even know the title for yet. Also that weekend is Tom Hooper's new take on the Cats musical, if that tickles your fancy. Enjoy the holiday break & a few new 2019 trailers.
