Fox has aired the first official TV spot for Robert Rodriguez and Nimród Antal's Predators as discovered by ShockTillYouDrop. We've already featured a lot of footage from this, including the trailer and a bunch of featurettes, but it's always great to see the first TV spot, at least (from my perspective) to get a good sense of how they're marketing this to the masses. There's not much new footage in this, but there is a cool shot of the four-legged creatures. I also like that the story involves these people being brought there "for a reason." I'm really looking forward to seeing Predators, should be another great summer action movie! Watch below.

Earlier tonight at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX, Robert Rodriguez and his cohorts debuted a first look at Predators, his new reboot/remake of the action classic. In addition to that event, Fox has unveiled a first look sneak peek at Predators on the official website, with plenty of great footage and a narration from Rodriguez. After waiting months and months, we finally get our first official look at the movie and I've got to say, this looks awesome, totally respectful to the original. There's even a first-look at a "Predator Hound" in the gallery on the site as well, whatever the hell that is. I think I've said enough, just fire this up and enjoy!

Instead of bringing on an Austrian body builder, producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal have decided to bring on Oscar winning actor Adrien Brody to star in their Predators reboot. The news comes straight from THR's Heat Vision blog, where they also report that Alice Braga (I Am Legend), Mahershalalhashbaz Ali ("The 4400"), Walt Goggins ("The Shield"), UFC fighter Oleg Taktarov, and Danny Trejo (confirming the rumors) have all been cast in Predators as well. Shooting will take place in Hawaii starting later this year. Rodriguez will also be overseeing the project at his Troublemaker Studios in Austin.

For some odd reason, I thought Robert Rodriguez himself was going to direct the Predators reboot. But I was wrong. Bloody Disgusting has learned that British filmmaker Neil Marshall, of Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and Doomsday previously, will most likely end up being the director chosen to bring us more Predator mayhem. Rodriguez is still producing and developing the project at Troublemaker Studios with 20th Century Fox overseeing, but apparently Neil Marshall is in negotiations to direct (but hasn't officially signed on). He's very good with creatures and horror, I'll say that, but can he handle big sci-fi action?

Nimrod Antal's Predators is easily, without question, the second best film in the science fiction franchise. That might not be saying much for a series that began with one of the most innovative action films of the 1980s and has since dumped its iconic, titular character into a fray of misguided sequels and spin-offs and blasphemous crossovers. As memorable and as exquisitely crafted as the Predator character is, the movies it has inhabited haven't been living up to expectations ever since we were introduced to the "futuristic" world of 1997 Los Angeles in Predator 2. With this new Predators, though, we get taken back to the basics.

Now that you've seen it, what did you think? It all began back in 1987 when Arnold Schwarzenegger and John McTiernan introduced us to the badass alien species known as Predator. Now genre king Robert Rodriguez is back with Predators, which lands in theaters today, directed by Nimród Antal and starring Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Walton Goggins and Oleg Taktarov. So how is the movie? Is it a great reboot of a beloved sci-fi franchise or not? How was Brody in the lead and the rest of the cast as well? If you've seen it, leave a comment below and let us know what you thought of Predators!

He knows the score. He gets the women. And he kills the bad guys. They call him Machete! 20th Century Fox has exclusively provided us with two new photos from Ethan Maniquis & Robert Rodriguez' Machete, which hits theaters in September, starring Danny Trejo. An official trailer already debuted in May so we know what to expect, but it's still awesome to see more photos, including that "lobby card." Once everyone gets to see Predators this weekend, Machete should be another awesome Rodriguez genre follow-up only a few months away. I've heard that Machete may make an appearance at Comic-Con as well, so stick around.

Last week I attended a press conference for Robert Rodriguez' Predators and asked actor Adrien Brody about the odd roles he's been taking recently. In addition to starring in the "Arnold Schwarzenegger role" in the new Predators, Brody also appeared in the genre thriller Splice as a nerdy geneticist and as a wacky pot dealing kingpin in the stoner comedy High School, both of which premiered at Sundance. It seems as if he's been actively taking on more diverse roles recently and I'm glad to see that. I'm not concerned, but grateful, that he's decided to experiment with such unique roles, which is why I asked him about his recent choices.

"I'm the one you don't f*ck with." Okay, now this is the trailer you've all be waiting to see! IGN has debuted a new international red band trailer for Robert Rodriguez & Nimrod Antal's Predators that features "foul" language and some gory violence. Although we've seen a lot of featurettes and even a TV spot for this movie, we have only ever seen one trailer before today, the first one from back in March. But this new one is packed full of great lines of dialogue from just about every character, even more action, and tons of new footage we haven't seen before. I want to see this now, can't frickin' wait, looks like it'll be an awesome movie. Enjoy.

Holy crap! A few new first look photos have popped up today for a new Predator creature nicknamed "Mr. Black" that will be seen in Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal's upcoming Predators reboot, due out in a few more weeks. The Sideshow Collectibles mask photo comes from Bloody-Disgusting, as Sideshow hasn't actually listed the mask for sale on their site yet. And the other actual photos come from ShockTillYouDrop. The photo on the right, below, is Mr. Black in his full armor (also the same guy seen on this poster) and the other photos are of him without his mask, in pure Predator form. And damn does he look pretty pissed off!

The German movie magazine Widescreen recently unveiled their newest cover photo for an upcoming issue. According to a few sites (GeekTyrant, Bloody-Disgusting) seen on the front is the "classic" Predator costume worn my FX actor Derek Mears in Robert Rodriguez's Predators reboot. As far as we know, and although we've seen the trailer, this is our first official look at the Predators outfit that will be seen in the new movie (presumably just one of many). I don't have any problems with the look (it's just beefier, more metallic), but I'm not a die-hard fanboy, so I have nothing to nitpick. So just check it out and let us know what you think?

Fear is Reborn. The countdown has begun for Robert Rodriguez & Nimród Antal's Predators, now that the summer movie season has kicked off. Our Italian friends from BadTaste.it have informed us that three new international posters for Predators have debut on three different sites. The first one is a red wash version of one of the other posters, so I've cropped it and used it above, but you can also see the other two new posters below. One of them comes from ScreenWeek.it and the other comes from ComingSoon.it. Interesting to see that Adrien Brody is the strongest biggest point of this movie. Looking forward to watching it this summer!
