First Look: Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in 'Batman v. Superman'

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Warner Bros. blew the roof off Comic-Con immediately by bringing director Zack Snyder out to Hall H, introduced with some awesome concept art in motion from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The footage shown was a teaser that seemed shot specifically for the convention with Ben Affleck decked out in a bulky, metal batsuit reminiscent of Iron Man, turning on the bat signal. And that's where Superman (Henry Cavill) shows up in the sky, floating down to a rooftop, flaring his heat vision eyes. But in addition, we also got to see a quick shot of concept art of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and she looks great. Look!

Thor & Hulk Hammering Away on 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Posters

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

It's Marvel day here at Comic-Con (and it might be DC Comics day too if the Warner Bros. panel brings some surprises), and before the comic book studio unleashes their panel this evening, they've tossed out the final two concept art posters for The Avengers: Age of Ultron featuring Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). It looks like the God of Thunder is having a little bit of trouble with Ultron's robot army and the big guy looks pretty pissed off too. And if you want to see how all the concept art posters released so far together for an awesome scene, we've put the entire image below as well. It's pretty great.

Edgar Wright's 'Ant-Man' Defender Brings a Big Sign to 'Comic-Con'

Edgar Wright Comic-Con Sign

It was inevitable that someone would make a big scene at Comic-Con this year about Edgar Wright leaving Ant-Man. This is our guy. Yes, this is just a fun post about a funny moment at Comic-Con and contains no news, but it's a good story and one I think fans who aren't in San Diego will appreciate anyway. Every year at Comic-Con, a small selection of religious zealots bring big yellow signs talking about the bible. This year, another big sign joined them but it was in defense of Edgar: all it stated was "Edgar Wright Was Right". Turns out he's a fan who is "depressed" about the Ant-Man news and wanted to make his feelings known.

Comic-Con 2014: 'Maze Runner' Sequel 'Scorch Trials' Concept Art

The Maze Runner

Though audiences won't get a chance to see The Maze Runner until September, director Wes Ball revealed at Comic-Con that development of the sequel The Scorch Trials is already underway with an eye towards shooting at the end of the year, at least if the first film turns out to be a hit. The footage shown off in Hall H, which included a new trailer and a scene where lead character Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) was chased by a creature called a Griever, was thoroughly impressive, and it looks like an intense action adventure. And as a tease for where this franchise could go, a piece of concept art was revealed. Look now!

Comic-Con 2014: Samsung 'Mockingjay' Experience + Teaser Debut

The Hunger Games Comic-Con

To promote the upcoming (epic) two-part finale of The Hunger Games series, Mockingjay Part 1 & 2, at Comic-Con 2014, Lionsgate has built a massive Hunger Games "Samsung Experience". The interactive event is designed for fans to customize their own swag, delve into the universe more, see some new footage and promo material for Mockingjay, ending with a special teaser trailer debut exclusive to Comic-Con (it will be online Monday). It's a big promotion partnered with Samsung (we covered details here) meaning fans get to watch the teaser trailer on a Samsung tablet, which is amusing, but to us it's all about the movie.

Comic-Con 2014: Loki's Staff & Black Widow's Bike at Marvel Booth

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

The excitement just keeps growing for whatever Marvel has in store for their panel tomorrow evening here at Comic-Con in San Diego, and while we're sure that we'll be getting footage from The Avengers: Age of Ultron, there's no guarantee of what else to expect. Will Joaquin Phoenix be on hand to be officially named Doctor Strange or will someone else take the role? What are all of Marvel's future mystery projects set through 2019 or their recent 2018 date? What we do know is a couple of goodies have appeared at the Marvel booth. Today, the comic book studio unveiled Black Widow's new motorcycle, a prototype from Harley-Davidson called Project LiveWire, and a familiar weapon from a mischievous bad guy. Look below!

See the Mission Patch from 'Interstellar' Given Out at Comic-Con

Interstellar

We don't officially have a category for "swag", but this falls into that classification. As a big space nerd and sci-fi lover, I can't help but share this nifty bit of swag from Comic-Con that I picked up today. During the Paramount panel yesterday, where they surprised fans in Hall H by bringing out Interstellar director Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey (read our full recap of that panel), the studio handed out tickets to be redeemed for a "prize". That prize? The mission patch from Interstellar, for the "Endurance" Space Exploration mission. It's small piece of swag, it's nerdy, but it's also kind of awesome. In full below.

Review: 'Primer' Meets 'Chronicle' in Found Footage 'Project Almanac'

Project Almanac

What would happen if you found a time machine when you were in high school. What would you change? How would you use it? And what would be the ramifications of its use? These are some of the questions that a new film called Project Almanac tries to address. Following in the footsteps of the found footage film Chronicle, this film has a similar style and feel, but is about a group of teens who discover plans for a time travel device and put it together on their own (like Primer). They start testing it, using it, and improving its powers, until everything starts to go wrong. It's a blast, an original and energetic creation with a few issues.

Hawkeye, Quicksilver & Vision Get 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Posters

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

Following The Avengers: Age of Ultron concept art posters for Iron Man and Scarlet Witch on the first day of Comic-Con and two more with Captain America and Black Widow, yet another two posters have revealed Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). The speedster looks pretty wild-eyed as he speeds around fighting Ultron's robot army, while Hawkeye is relegated to hand-to-hand combat instead of his bow and arrow. But what's really cool is our first look at Vision (Paul Bettany) flying in the background of Quicksilver's poster, so it seems he'll have a big part of this battle.

Comic-Con 2014: Nolan & McConaughey Tease 'Interstellar' Journey

Interstellar - Comic-Con

"Rage, rage against the dying of the light." The eagle has landed. Paramount Pictures' panel inside the legendary Hall H at Comic-Con 2014 today ended with an epic discussion on Interstellar, a surprise to everyone as the studio brought along Oscar winning star Matthew McConaughey and the man himself, Christopher Nolan. Both are first time Comic-Con attendees, making an appearance at this geek mecca to promote the sci-fi epic that many of us are already anxiously anticipating (see the latest trailer). To top it off, they shared the incredible, brand new trailer with those in Hall H, and it will be online sometime soon.

Comic-Con 2014: 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Fling Pizzas Around

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Wise man say: "Forgiveness is divine, but never pay pull price for late pizza." Truer words were never spoken, and thankfully, the pizza arrived right on time at Comic-Con in San Diego with Paramount Pictures making a big push for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Today the Comic-Con Interactive Zone set up our heroes pizza box couch with the film's trailer conveniently playing on a flatscreen. Thankfully, there weren't only empty pizza boxes as Pizza Hut handed out slices in a box designed by illustrator and designer Scott Derby. But the real action came from the turtles' signature pizza thrower, a big pie-flinging tank. Look!
