Naomi Watts & Bobby Cannavale in 'The Watcher' Netflix Series Trailer

The Watcher Trailer

"Your house is my obsession." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a creepy true crime series titled The Watcher, made by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan - TV creators known for the "Scream Queens" series and plenty of other series. Not to be confused with the excellent film also called Watcher released this summer, this is actually based on something that really happened. Which makes it all even scarier. The series follows the true story of a married couple who, after moving into their dream home in New Jersey, are harassed through letters signed by a stalker named The Watcher. But it turns out these letters are just the beginning as the neighborhood’s sinister secrets come spilling out. This stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale as the Brannocks, with an impressive cast featuring Mia Farrow, Noma Dumezweni, Joe Mantello, Richard Kind, Terry Kinney, Margo Martindale, and Jennifer Coolidge. This is one of those bad nightmares I've always been afraid of - crazy neighbors! This looks super frightening - tread carefully, folks.

Chilling 'The Devil's Hour' Trailer with Peter Capaldi & Jessica Raine

The Devil's Hour Trailer

"There's no pattern… it's just chaos." Or is it…?? Amazon has unveiled an official trailer for a chilling new supernatural thriller series arriving this fall titled The Devil's Hour. It will be streaming on Prime Video on October 28th just in time for Halloween weekend scares. The title refers to the time of 3:33AM, known as "the Devil's Hour," and the story involves a woman who wakes up every night at that exact time by terrifying visions. Described as a "gripping psychological thriller" series where Lucy's nightmares draw her into a hunt for a serial killer in a world where nothing is as it seems. Starring Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine, with a supporting cast including Nikesh Patel, Meera Syal, Alex Ferns, Phil Dunster, Barbara Marten, and Cecilia Blair. This gets extra mysterious with that one "are you a time traveler or a fortune teller?" question, on top of all the intriguing The Prestige-esque hints seen in this footage. Definitely worth a look.

Senior Thieves in Polish Crime Comedy 'The Green Glove Gang' Trailer

The Green Glove Gang Trailer

"Is it a second home, or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!?" Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a quirky, fun new crime comedy mini-series titled The Green Glove Gang, from Polish filmmaker Tadeusz Śliwa. One of many new projects made in Poland for Netflix as one of their local content offerings. When their latest heist goes wrong, three older female burglars evade officials by hiding out in a nursing home — where they uncover a sinister secret. These three noble thieves – Zuza, Kinga and Alicja – continuing their conniving ways at the nursing home, giving its elderly residents a chance for a second youth. The series stars Magdalena Kuta, Małgorzata Potocka, & Anna Romantowska, with Beata Bandurska, Karolina Rzepa, Mirosław Zbrojewicz, Andrzej Grabowski. I was sold from the title, but this looks like some kooky & mischievous fun! Seems like something that could break out and find audiences outside of Poland.

First Look Teaser for 'Welcome To Chippendales' with Kumail Nanjiani

Welcome To Chippendales Teaser

"You and me stick together, or you and me go to war!" Hulu has revealed the first look teaser for their upcoming mini-series titled Welcome To Chippendales, debuting this fall during Thanksgiving week. "Are you ready for the time of your life?" A sprawling true-crime saga, Welcome to Chippendales tells the outrageous story of Somen "Steve" Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world's greatest male-stripping empire—and let nothing stand in his way in the process. Kumail Nanjiani stars as Steve, who ended up getting embroiled in murder and more crime years after starting the revue in 1979. Murray Bartlett co-stars as producer / choreographer Nick De Noia, a charming, fast-talking New Yorker. De Noia is responsible for transforming Chippendales from a seedy male strip joint in West LA to the global juggernaut it would one day become, but also ended up fighting with Banerjee about the business. The series cast also includes Annaleigh Ashford, Juliette Lewis, Andrew Rannells, Dan Stevens, Quentin Plair, Robin de Jesús, and Nicola Peltz. Looks like it'll be good, yet another true crime story.

Full Trailer for New 'Let the Right One In' Series with Demián Bichir

Let the Right One In Series

"Brace yourself for what you're about to see." Showtime has debuted a full official for their new take on Let the Right One In, a streaming series re-adaptation of the beloved Swedish vampire book by John Ajvide Lindqvist. This new series centers on Mark and his daughter Eleanor, whose lives were changed 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. This new version expands the story to indicate this vampirism is a "sickness" they're trying to cure before it infects others, while focusing on more than just this father and daughter. Huh, okay. The series stars Demián Bichir as Mark and Madison Taylor Baez as the vampire girl, along with Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman, and Jacob Buster. I'll continue to say that I'm a huge fan of the original film and the American remake from Matt Reeves. This still doesn't look that good, Americanized in ways that just seem so unoriginal and uninteresting. Thoughts?

Scary Stories in Mike Flanagan's 'The Midnight Club' Series Full Trailer

The Midnight Club Trailer

"I don't care what it costs, if there's a way to save US, I'd burn the world down…" Netflix has debuted the full official trailer for the latest Mike Flanagan horror series arriving this fall called The Midnight Club. He's also in the middle of filming "The Fall of the House of Usher", with this new series about to debut for streaming. This time he's adapting the the beloved Christopher Pike book series about kids in a manor. The Midnight Club follows a group of five terminally ill patients staying at the Brightcliffe Hospice, who begin to gather together at midnight to share scary stories together in "The Midnight Club." And to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond. The Netflix series cast features Samantha Sloyan, Zach Gilford, Igby Rigney, Heather Langenkamp, Matt Biedel, Annarah Cymone, Aya Furukawa, Ruth Codd, and Yuki Morita. This seems like some kind of horror anthology series, but built around this central premise involving these sick kids who just want to live. Looks pretty good! Scary and clever all at once - worth a look.

First Look Trailer for Netflix's 'Notre Dame' Firefighters Mini-Series

Notre Dame Series Trailer

"Save the cathedral… without losing a single life." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a mini-series titled Notre Dame, the second major production based around the Notre Dame fire in 2019. The moment this fire at the iconic cathedral made news around the world, I knew it would be turned into movies. Jean-Jacques Annaud made his own Notre-Dame On Fire film also releasing this year, and Netflix has made their mini-series based around the exact same concept - following the firefighters who went to work putting out the fire that night. Hervé Hadmar's Notre Dame series follows the story of the night of April 15th, 2019 in Notre-Dame Cathedral alongside the many firefighters and the impact the fire had on different characters across France. Starring Roschdy Zem, Caroline Proust, Megan Northam, Simon Abkarian, Alice Isaaz, Marie Zabukovec, Sandor Funtek. This looks like it has some gorgeous visuals, but it also looks super cheesy and melodramatic and obvious with all the people that are affected by this event. Have a look.

Netflix Trailer for 'Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga' Nerdy Doc Series

Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga Trailer

"There's something bigger here - let's find out what's really going on here" Netflix has revealed the official trailer for a documentary mini-series premiering later this month called Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga, about the GameStop crypto mishap and the story of the Redditors who tried to take control of the stock. Once again, yet another dueling docs series - HBO debuted Gaming Wall Street earlier this year, now Netflix is ready to drop their own doc series on this GameStop debacle. (Paramount also made their own doc on this as well.) A look at the layers of intrigue, from the supercharged power of digital communities to the gamification of trading. From Academy Award-winning filmmakers Dan Cogan and Liz Garbus, and directed by Theo Love. This humorous documentary series follows a group of millennial misfits who banded together online to rescue their beloved GameStop from the clutches of Wall Street bigwigs, in an epic, viral David vs. Goliath story for the 21st century. I'm all for this story of these Reddit nerds, but at the same time they've turned this story into such cheesy entertainment it almost doesn't seem that exciting anymore. Have a look.

Charlie Hunnam is a Fugitive in 1980s Bombay in 'Shantaram' Trailer

Shantaram Trailer

"Everyone here is running away from something…" Apple has revealed an official trailer for Shantaram, a new series streaming on Apple TV+ this fall. Based on the best-selling novel by Gregory David Roberts, a fugitive pursuing redemption in 1980s Bombay will do whatever it takes to get it, even if it means letting his past seep back into his present. Escaped convict Lin Ford flees from prison and ends up in the teeming streets of 1980s Bombay, looking to disappear. Working as a medic for the city’s poor and neglected, Lin finds unexpected love, connection, and courage on the long road to redemption. He also meets Prabhakar who takes him to his native village where the locals name him Shantaram and teach him Marathi. The series stars Charlie Hunnam as Lin, Antonia Desplat, Alexander Siddig, and Shubham Saraf, along with Luke Pasqualino, Vincent Perez, Electra Jansson Kilbey, and Fayssal Bazzi. This looks very dark and gritty, and I appreciate how alive and real it all feels as he's venturing around the immense city. This actually makes me want to visit Bombay (aka Mumbai nowadays). Check out some first look footage below.
