Matt Damon & Ben Affleck's 'Air: Courting a Legend' Super Bowl Spot

Air Movie Trailer

"A shoe is just a shoe." "Until my son steps into it…" MGM + Amazon have debuted an extra Super Bowl TV spot for Air, to go along with the first official trailer that arrived just a few days ago. This spot also comes with a new title - Air: Courting a Legend - which gives it a bit more of a hook to setup what it's about. The movie tells the story of the salesman at Nike who works to sign Michael Jordan to this landmark deal, launching the iconic "Air Jordan" shoe line. It follows the history of shoe salesman Sonny Vaccaro, played by Matt Damon, and how he led Nike in its pursuit of the greatest athlete in the history of sports: Michael Jordan. It also co-stars Ben Affleck as Nike's Phil Knight, and he also directs the movie. Th cast includes Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Marlon Wayans, Chris Tucker, Viola Davis & Julius Tennon as Deloris & James Jordan, Matthew Maher, and Tom Papa. This is a catchy 60-second TV spot, especially by using Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing". I'm surprised this is out so soon in April, not that long of a wait.

Extended Super Bowl Spot for Michael B. Jordan's 'Creed III' Sequel

Creed III Big Game Spot

"Don't let him destroy everything you've built…" It's going to be one brutal showdown in the ring between these two!! MGM + UA have unveiled a new Super Bowl TV spot for the upcoming boxing sequel Creed III, arriving in theaters in just a few more weeks. They've been promoting this one extensively recently, since it's opening quite soon and looks like a top notch sequel. The past always finds its way back. Adonis has been thriving in both his career and his family life, but when an old childhood friend and a former boxing prodigy resurfaces, the face-off is more than just a fight. Michael B. Jordan is making his directorial debut and returning as Adonis Creed in this third installment of the hit boxing franchise, a continuation of the Rocky series. It also stars Tessa Thompson, with Jonathan Majors as his contender this time, a former friend named Damian, as well as Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu (also returning again as Drago), newcomer Mila Kent + Phylicia Rashad. I am really looking forward to watching this soon! Looks like it'll hit hard.

Must See Super Bowl Spot for 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny'

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Trailer

"My memory's a little fuzzy - are you still a Nazi??" Lucasfilm has debuted a new Super Bowl TV spot for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie, this one directed by James Mangold. The outstanding first trailer dropped last year, with an action-packed 30 seconds more of footage in this spot. They still haven't revealed any official plot details yet. Only: the film will be set in 1969 in the middle of the Space Race, with Harrison Ford back as Indy. Meanwhile, Voller, a NASA member and ex-Nazi involved with the Moon-landing program, wants to "rectify the world and make it into a better place as he sees fit." Along with Harrison Ford, The Dial of Destiny stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge (who shows up in this spot), Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas, and John Rhys-Davies. What a stellar cast! This is looking like it might've really turned out damn good, which is all we can hope for. Bring on another summer of Indy.

Meet Mirage in the Big Game Spot for 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts'

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Spot

"It's time to shift into high gear. Mirage makes his debut as a legendary 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8." Paramount has debuted an extended Big Game spot for one of their big summer sequels - Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, introducing a brand new Autobot named Mirage. This is technically the 7th movie in the sentient alien robot series Transformers, bringing back Optimus Prime and the Autobots again. Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a '90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. This Transformers movie stars Anthony Ramos (also from In the Heights) and Dominique Fishback, along with Tobe Nwigwe, Peter Cullen (as Optimus Prime), Ron Perlman (as Optimus Primal), Peter Dinklage (as Scourge), Michelle Yeoh (as Airazor), Pete Davidson (as Mirage - from this spot), Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and Cristo Fernández. This actually looks enjoyable so far.

Viral Plumbing Bros. TV Commercial for 'The Super Mario Bros Movie'

Super Mario Bros. Plumbing

"For super service, call or text…!" Ahaha who needs a plumber! Or two?! Illumination Animation revealed this fun TV commercial viral promo for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, arriving in theaters this April. It's a TV spot entirely in the style of a local plumbers commercial, with all the trimmings and perfect riffs on plumbers trying to get your attention. It even has its own vintage '90s hip hop Run DMC-style jingle. All of this is just delightful. The video also leads to a viral website, for Mario & Luigi's plumbing business, with a number you can actually text (if you're in Brooklyn & Queens). The movie features the voices of Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser (of course), Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Sebastian Maniscalco. The marketing for this has been on point so far, and this commercial is the cherry on top. The site is also worth perusing - who'd like a "career" with these Bros?

As expected, but still! The ensemble cast features Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant. Big Dinos! Super Bowl TV Spot for '65' Sci-Fi Movie with Adam Driver

65 Movie Trailer

"65 million years ago… humans discovered Earth." We did? Sony has revealed their 30-second Super Bowl TV spot for the sci-fi dinosaur movie 65, arriving in theaters in March 2023 next month. The first official US trailer debuted last month, and this spot mashes up a lot of this existing footage in a fun package. An astronaut who crash lands on a mysterious planet discovers that he is not alone. It turns out he crash lands from the future back on Earth – 65 million years ago – and encounters dinosaurs as they try to find a ship to escape on. Adam Driver stars with Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. Produced by Sam Raimi, directed by Beck/Woods. The opening 15 seconds of this trailer is going for that original Alien text teaser where they slowly reveal one letter at a time. This looks like it's going to be big and epic and fun! Bring it on.

Scary New Super Bowl TV Spot for 'Scream VI' - Tickets On Sale Now

Scream VI Super Bowl Spot

"This isn't like any other Ghostface…" Paramount Pictures has revealed their scary Super Bowl TV spot for Scream VI, the follow-up sequel to last year's Scream (also known as Scream 5). It's a full 60 second spot also announcing that tickets are now on sale - via the official site. Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four young survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. This one brings the mayhem to New York City, as a new killer pops up in this city wreaking havoc. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox return to their roles in the franchise, with Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving. We featured the first full trailer for Scream 6 just a few weeks ago - the more they show, the better it looks. And I really dig that eerie shrine.

Watch: Freaky 'The Callisto Protocol' Game Live-Action Promo Spot

The Callisto Protocol

"Every sound, every movement, is closing in." Time for a visit to Jupiter's moon Callisto in the year 2320. We're not a video game site and only post gaming content when it's worthwhile, and this live-action trailer for a sci-fi game is worth a look. The Callisto Protocol, made by Striking Distance Studios, is launching later this week on all platforms. They recently debuted a live-action promo trailer, featuring the actor Josh Duhamel starring as the main character Jacob Lee, an inmate of Black Iron Prison on the moon Callisto. Players must face terrifying creatures as they uncover the secrets of the United Jupiter Company. The game is a story-driven, single-player survival horror from the mind of Glen Schofield. This plays like a two minute sci-fi short film about discovering a prison where everyone is dead but coming back to life. Some freaky shit.

More Previews for David O. Russell's Murder Mystery 'Amsterdam'

Amsterdam Trailer

"We need to clear our names." 20th Century Studios is releasing new TV spots + an extra 60 sec trailer for Amsterdam, the new film from Oscar-nominated filmmaker David O. Russell. They're dropping this one quickly into theaters in early October, without any major festival premieres, meaning it's probably not great. Three friends—a doctor, a nurse, and an attorney—become the prime suspects in a murder in the 1930s. The tagline is "a lot of this actually happened." Amsterdam boasts a massive ensemble cast which is what the marketing is focusing on - featuring: Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldaña, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, and finally Taylor Swift. So many terrific people starring in this! But will it be any good? Maybe… maybe not?

New Steph Curry TV Spot for Jordan Peele's Mysterious Sci-Fi 'Nope'

Nope TV Spot

We still don't know what this is really about, right? We still don't know what the big, scary "thing" is that comes to town? Only time will tell. Universal has debuted a basketball TV spot for Jordan Peele's new film Nope, which seems to be a sci-fi thriller involving an extraterrestrial appearance in a small town. The spot features acclaimed NBA played Steph Curry playing at a basketball court in this town, when the lights go out and he goes outside and looks up and exclaims "nope!" Along with the first trailer back in February, this footage is all so mysterious and interesting. Nope's main cast features Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Michael Wincott, Donna Mills, and Terry Notary. We still have no idea if this is actually about aliens (or not?), but that's definitely what all these trailers are hinting at. Enjoy.
